Lollar Charlie Christian?

ive installed them for a few people over the years, always in a tele. they absolutely loved it, its got some juice though so i feel i needs something a bit more than vintage in the bridge to keep up unless you like a stark contrast, which some do

Thanks for the input! Snowdog, I appreciate you looking out for my pocketbook, but for me, part of the allure is the Lollar build, I've never used Lollars before, and I think this might be my inaugural dip into that pool. Jeremy, I'm mostly a neck pickup guy anyway, the bridge pickup is just there so I don't have a hole...mostly kidding. Most of the things I've read about this pup say to mount it fairly low, so that would help balance whatever goes in the bridge position. Lollar also sells a Charlie Christian bridge, though that definitely gets me into the uncomfortably spendy range of noodling around...

Derek Duncan in the Duncan Custom Shop used to make a full CC (with the long bar magnets and 3 mounting screws), and single-pickup sized bar, single-slot or string-compensated versions. Don't know if they still stock the parts, but could ask.

ive only heard and installed the neck pup, and it does sound great. nothing like a normal tele neck pup. bright and clear but full
