I dunno man, if I wanted absolute clean tone all the time even playing outside I'd look at a twin reverb, it's what they were made to do. People complain about them being heavy but... that's why you have bandmates. Tons of em have jensens stock so if you like the sound of your 2x10 you should like the way they sound, if you need something even cleaner and louder get a couple weber californias, but for most people it's not an issue.


Personally I got that dual showman reverb, which is a twin reverb in a head that I run on "8" on top of a 1x15, with another 1x15 on the way in the next day or so, but we play different stuff

I got mine for $600. You'd have to get some of those eminence speakers or some 10" weber high power speakers to handle it, but it may be a good option.

i agree with drew...if you want headroom give up on the low power speakers, and just get something like a fender twin. If you take preamp distortion out of the equation wattage = headroom.
Noone is here to break your balls...you juts asked how to get more headroom etc, and then made a proviso that you have to keep using speakers that will make said goal imnpossible.
