Low cost practice amp for blues?

Was hoping to hear some opinions on what would be a good low cost practice amp for blues, particulary Mick Ralphs, Mick Taylor, Peter Green, etc... I'll be using a MichaelKelly LP with a set of 59's in it. :smoker:

Re: Low cost practice amp for blues?

Are you looking specifically for tube or solid state? What kind of price range are you looking for? I'd like to suggest the Blues Jr, but it may be a bit too expensive for what you're looking for.

Re: Low cost practice amp for blues?

I saw a Blues Jr go for $250 on Ebay recently. It would be a good one.

Re: Low cost practice amp for blues?

I would suggest the Fender Pro Junior since the Blues Junior has been brought up twice already.

Less wattage and with two knobs you won't spend all day twiddling!

Re: Low cost practice amp for blues?

Just to be picky and OC, I'll point out the the pro junior is also 15 watts but has a 10" speaker.

Re: Low cost practice amp for blues?

Well it sounds like you're looking for a British sound which counts out my suggestion! I'll make it anyway ;D. You can find a silverface Fender Champ for about $150-$275 depending on the condition of the amp. Great amps!
