Re: ltd vs esp
Not necessarily. Keep in mind I'm talking about the higher end korean LTD guitars...
The Eclipse has upgraded parts, better build/manufactured process and better choice of woods.
The Ec1000 - is no slouch at all. Comes stock with what you need. Solid quality.
That's why I liken it to Gibson Les Paul. The Studio model is fantastic (for price, playability and components) much like the EC1000. If I had the money, I would love to UPGRADE to a better build, quality, parts in a LP Custom (hell even a higher end standard).
ECLIPSE:
Mahogany body with carved quilted maple top
Set mahogany neck
24-3/4" scale
Rosewood fretboard
42mm bone nut
Thin U neck contour
EMG-81 (bridge) and EMG-60 (neck) active humbuckers
22 extra-jumbo frets
Chrome hardware
Gotoh Magnum locking tuners
Gotoh Tune-o-matic-style bridge with stopbar tailpiece
2 volume and 2 tone controls with 3-way switching
White binding on body, neck, and headstock
EC-1000
Mahogany body Mahogany neck
24-3/4" set neck
Thin U neck contour
Rosewood fretboard (ebony on vintage black)
Abalone flags plus the model name at the 12th fret
42mm standard nut
24 extra jumbo frets
TonePros locking Tune-o-matic bridge
Genuine EMG 81/60 pickups (Seymour Duncan JB/59 set on amber sunburst model)
Sperzel locking tuners
Black hardware (gold on black and vintage black, chrome on amber sunburst)
That's a bit generous to the LTDs.
