He has such an odd way of playing...I certainly hear it as an LP (not a Strat- he has other beautiful Strat tones), and quite frankly, it is a pretty ugly sound on its own. But I can't imagine that song without it...it is so perfect.

Yeah, you can play the notes straight up with just dirt, but it ain't the same.

I've got the album he put out with Chet. It's phenomenal.

Yup. "The Notting Hillbillies" is also a must-have Knopfler album.

Thanks all, I just realized. Theres a section on the zoom for replicating sounds. And ones called swingly, and its perfect Knopfler tone.
