Re: Marshall amps :Tight bass, crushing mids, singing highs + HIgh gain =which model?
Im going to check all of them. right now im with a CRAPPY internet connection, so its a 1 by 1 thing ahahahahah . Thanks for the ****ing input man. Q: )
ah, I have A 5150 iii HEAD the 50watts version. but i only tested it ONE TIME. just to seem if it wasnt damaged in the way to my place. and it works 100% but im still waiting my 2X12 cabinet. loaded with two WGS liberators.
I like that last clip, that guy was good!
Here's another good clip to give you a reference between a JCM 900, a JCM 2000 DSL, a JVM 205H, and a Splawn Competition 50. Watch what he does with the volume knobs on his Les Paul and you'll hear one of the reasons I have come to prefer Splawn amps over Marshalls. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6cDb9IgTeM
Speaking of Splawns, here's a good comparison between their Quick Rod and Nitro models: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qI6nByP68cQ
And another that's a little more in depth on the Nitro: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qI6nByP68cQ
Another amp to consider is the EVH 5150 III. It's in the Marshall vein tonewise, and gets into Soldano territory on channel 3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xS265TNqwFA
