I had a mid 80s version with 6550s. My first Marshall. Nice amps.

Edit, I see it has the G12-80. Much nicer than the M70s they came with later (like mine had) Someone needs to snatch it up.

Edit 2- Canadian model (French on the rear panel). Explains the El34s.

I don't know, all the Canadian models I've seen have the silver toggle switches for standby and power, and the US models have the rocker switches. I could be wrong though.

I had one of those for 5 years. Never could get it to sound that good I'm afraid. Compared to the 2203 I built last year it was sterile... still, I sold it for 750$ (canadian) 10 years ago. That is a good price if it's what one wants tone-wise.

Not sure if this was made for the Canadian market, but it is definitely a great sounding combo. The G12 80 is a killer speaker.

Based on the one I had (Canadian Market) the switches were solid metal instead of plastic glow-through... still a great amp!
