I paid around $400 for mine by the way, and it's still with me, and still sounds great. Although, I've always wondered if the 2x12 or 3x10 versions were better. I never had any issues with it, and I like the tones I'm getting from it.
The only reason why this amp now just stays home is because the JCM900 4501 is a lot smaller amp, which is more convenient to carry around. The additional gain also helps with my heavy metal needs

Howdy,
I had the 30 watt variant of this amp back in the mid-90s. Bought it from MF. It didn't ring my chimes, so to speak and I returned it. Years later (through the miracle of the Word Wide Web) I learned that these Marshall combo amps were prone to problems.
