Maybethe most perfect guitar

I've literally played just about every guitar known to man, and like quite a few. My favorites are LP's, ES-335's, and Strats.

There's a guitarist we all know who's played it all, and has more signature Gibsons than most anybody. ALEX LIFESON.

Today, I played perhaps one of the best overall guitars I've ever picked up. Every once in awhile, I'm blown away by a guitar. This was one of those times....and as always, it costs real money.

One of the things I always liked about Lifeson is that he has no regard for tradition when it comes to guitar design.

The heel of the Axcess is an improvement on the normal heel, for a start. The model above has a floyd with piezos... and why not? Bigsbys look cool but they are useless.

This guitar is also a departure, too. It looks awesome.

Re: Maybethe most perfect guitar

I have been infatuated with semi hollow Les Pauls for the last two years

I love the sound of a 335 but the size is a bit off putting
the LP feels great a bit heavy

to combine these will prove to be the greatest combination since peanut butter and jelly

Re: Maybethe most perfect guitar

I loved the Howard Roberts Fusion he played during the Moving Pictures era. My guess is that this is a refinement of that idea.

Re: Maybethe most perfect guitar

Looks to me pretty similar to the hollowbody Les Paul Supremes of recent years. Minus the mini humbucker in the neck and some minor wood and aesthetic differences, they seem pretty similar.

There's something about f-holes on smaller guitars that I think adds class, more so than on larger hollow bodies.

Re: Maybethe most perfect guitar

Nice guitar, I wouldn't mind having an affordable version of it, but I prefer the weight and sustain of a solid body LP. Every design can be tweaked. I'm quite content with LP's as they are now, especially as they come in some many different configurations: Std, Custom, Deluxe, Special, Jr, Double Cutaway, etc and a variety of PU types. But if I had to make any updates to the traditional design, it would a neck/body juncture at the 18th or 19th fret and to be string-thru.
