Does the pickup selector location feel like it gets in the way when you're tapping in songs? I've got a jazzmaster with the pickup selector switch roughly there, and it's the only thing I don't like about it.
Nope

The goth explorer on the right.
Always claimed it must have been made on a Wednesday. I've wired at least a dozen different pickups into it. All of them sounded great, she wears the Blackout Mick Thomson set these days.
It's just always been a perfect guitar no matter how I've used and abused it.
Gibson Les Paul 60RI. I waited for years until I found one with a grain/flame similar to a famous #1, but because it's a 60, it has the thinner neck like JPs was shaved down to. Plays like butta. If I just change the knobs and tuners, no one would know the difference.

this fella, it’s always been my go to even though arguably I have guitars that maybe better… it just feels like home!
my 2008 Gibson ES335 Custom Shop. the guitar in my profile pic.
I wanted the Alvin Lee model, but I don't have $7000+ to burn.
I wish I could give it more than one like. Like the way you have the uncovered rear pickup a'la Jimmy Page. Would love to hear it thru a Reeves Custom Jimmy.
You have to ask?

You play it left? Is it strung left? Or do you play right stringing like Doyle Bramhall II?
Probably my favourite guitar at the moment is the Squier Affinity that was "sideways" upgraded with a loaded pickguard from a Squier Standard.
No photos because we all know what they look like.
So much so, I ordered one of these today. In that colour.
I'm hoping this will become my new favourite.
