funny you mention that...my initial plan was to rack all the pedals and just have a looper, wah and volume on the floor

do you have to run some kinda big honkin' snake kinda thing from the floor in front of you back to the rack drawer?

For a manual looper, yes.

My loop switchers are MIDI controlled, so there would only be a MIDI controller on the stage front.
