Mesa .50 Caliber head for "stoner"?

I am GAS-ing a bit for a tube head. I was wondering how chunky one was. There was also the .50 Caliber + model at one time, but I do not know what that is about.

CoC used them for a bit, and the prices look quite depreciated at this time. Are these Boogies reliable?
