MESA DUAL RECTIFIER HEAD + MARSHALL JMP-1 HELP

[WITH FULL DISTORTION]

HI GUYS, HOWS IT GOING?
I FINALLY BOUGHT A MESA BOOGIE DUAL RECTIFIER SOLO HEAD, AND A CUSTOM 2X12 CABINET LOADED WITH CELESTIONS G12H75 CREAMBACKS.
AND I ALSO GOT A MARSHALL JMP-1 PREAMP IN RACK FORMAT

Im having issues trying to plug the marshall into the mesa boogie preamp, to bypass it
do any of you guys could help me ?

I need to know which cables goes where behind those 2 monsters. Q: )

Easy. Turn the rotary switch to loop on both, run the jmp into the fx return, keep the mix knob up 100%, make sure the loop master volume is off and gradually turn it up after the jmp is on and at the right level.

Easy. Turn the rotary switch to loop on both, run the jmp into the fx return, keep the mix knob up 100%, make sure the loop master volume is off and gradually turn it up after the jmp is on and at the right level.

But if the OP wants to foot switch between both, he'll have to either get something like a RJM Effect Gizmo, or a multi effects with its own loops. That way he can use the 4 cable method so he can remove the head's preamp from the signal path at will and substitute it with the JMP.

He can run the guitar into an A/B, run one end into the front of the Mesa, the other into the front of the JMP running into the fx return and turn the rotary to FX SW and he can switch from the Mesa and the JMP by using the footswitch.

Are you wanting to use both the JMP and the Mesa preamps alternatingly, or are you going for the JMP preamp and Mesa power amp only?

If you're using the JMP as the preamp exclusively, run either the JMP's Send or the Output to the Mesa's Return. If you don't want to use the effects section of the JMP, run the JMP's Send to the Mesa's Return. If you want to use the JMP's effects, run the JMP's Output to the Mesa's Return.

If you want to be able to switch between the Mesa preamp and JMP, do what Beer$ said with the A/B box.
