I liked the lines Ryan from Mudvayne played on LD50.
Pretty much any Iron Maiden is worth digging into, as well.

I know some people don't consider them metal, but most things from Tool are interesting and fun to play, and Justin Chancellor's bass lines are just as important to their sound as anyone else in the band
