Most eye-grabbing single colour for guitar

Re: Most eye-grabbing single colour for guitar

I like neon; I didn't live through the era (well, I was five.) I don't like them out of "irony" either, I just like loud colors, and the world around me was never to the point where I could get burned out on them.

Anything with huge metalflake.

thats it right there. nothing catches the light like big metal flake finishes. i dont love em close up necessarily but they pop on stage

Fender makes a metalic Lime Green custom shop guitar that combined with a maple neck really leaps out at you

Re: Most eye-grabbing single colour for guitar

I always thought white guitars looked the best on stage, they seem more attention grabbing to me than any other color because they stand out on a dark stage and the lights reflect off of them plus they go great with black leather.

I know Gary Moore (who isn't known for playing white guitars in particular, but did so more often than you'd expect) had a theory that white guitars were perceived as being larger than they are on stage, which intuitively seems correct to me. I assume that is a type of attention grabbing, albeit a subtle, non-OTT one. ;)

neon+metalflake.
get it all in one guitar. i wouldn't play it, but i bet someone here would.

Yeah that's a general concept that applies to many things such as clothes, houses, etc...

Paint your house white on the inside and it seems you have lots of room.

White makes things look bigger, black is "slimming".

apart from the obvious neon stuff I think swirl paintjobs can bevery attention grabbing too!

That purple, black, and green is awesome, back in the day I wanted to do one in those colors! We swirled some of the Fat Boxes I built for Fat Sound in the late 90s in those colors. I don't even have pics of them.

I did find this yellow, blue, and black one that sold on Reverb, holy crap!!! I didn't know they had become collectible.

Green changes to black when you hit it with red stage lights. Loved how the ibanez catalogs looked in the late 80's early 90's with all the crazy neon and wacko colors. I'm voting for a sparkle green or hot pink

Re: Most eye-grabbing single colour for guitar

Honestly though, it's hard to beat a great sunburst under stage lights. They look rich and warm to me.

racing stripes are always in style

black with neon stripes

or red with neon tapes

sound familiar?
