Bridge: Seth Lover with an UOA5 can go from true old PAF tone (I had one at 8.5K) to any other sound you want.
Add a good tube amp, grab a few pedals to go big (boost with gain).
But by itself is the most musicall for me.

A3 single coils, any position. In the bridge, I especially like a vintage hot wind, which for me has been around 8.5k.

For me, the most "musical" pickup i own is the Screamin' Demon in my Charvel Model 3Dr Fire crackle. It can basically do anything-heavy chugs, articulate solos, great cleans and very versatile. I swapped in a RCA8 mag into it and its even more versatile. 2nd would be the 59/Custom Hybrid that resides in my Kramer F3000. Along the same lines but a bit more output.

Good news is there seem to be many pups showing real musical tone and performance. Can't narrow down to just a few selections or choices.....I guess that's more good news!
