If you were a guitarist in a metal band, and you used pedals, which would be the must haves for your pedalboard?
Or if you are a metal guitarist that uses pedals, which one(s) couldn't you live without?

A good highgain amp would be #1, of course.
But if you wanted something that did it all.....this.
Substitute the blue for the Uberschall, if necessary. For metal, graphic EQ's are good to have, whether they're in front or in the FX loop.

…and wah if you are confident that you want sound like a hack using it.
... and maybe some sort of doubler pedal. No chorus or any of that; just straight aggression.
Who makes a Doubler stompbox, easily found on the used market? I checked into the MXR rack mount offering when I saw the Guitar World interview w Dimebag's tech Grady Champion who said Dime ALWAYS had it set to On, but I don't want to do rack mount and I was not impressed with the YouTube examples of the MXR I found on YouTube (granted the few I found were not good audio).
Thanks
I'd probably try to have:
1.) A great hot-rod Marshall-ish pedal.
2.) A higher-gain, more modern-sounding pedal, probably one of the newer ones that I haven't tried yet.
3.) Wah.
4.) Noise gate.
6.) Graphic EQ pedal.
7.) Chorus.
8.) Tuner.
Kirk Hammett screwed that up for everybody. No more wah in metal/hard rock, I insist. That goes for you too Morello.
