Thx. Well I don't own any vintage guitars so I'm no expert, but the guitar sounds friggin old and kind of pawn shop and clanky, but friggin good at the same time. Like the guitar could be from the 60s. I guess that's the goal with the Ant's huh? The hums are nice and punchy and the Ant mustang hum neck and the Ant JB bridge are the right tones for it. I'll post toanz after I get it dialed.
It came out so well I'm starting a 2nd one. I'm gonna put a Vintage Jaguar and Red Devil in series in the neck and a JB in the bridge probably with A3. I'm gonna move both pickups towards the bridge. The last one came out with the bridge pickup 2" away from the bridge and sounds really good. It's right on the border between warm and still sounding crunchy. Probably gonna try 1 3/4" or 1 1/2". My strats have their bridge pickups 1 1/4" or 1" away from the bridge. Also lol at people continuing to vote no. :nana:
The green mustang arrived and I swapped everything else over and put a string thru bridge on it. It's way dialed now. I think the color scheme looks better and the string thru sounds better. Really liking the bridge hum at 2" away from the saddles. It's warm but still crunchy. Instead of sounding like I stuck my dick in a beehive.
Some demo skanks:
A maple neck and tortoise red pickguard are gonna go on the white body with the jag/red devil and jb/dd. Gonna be sweet! I'm liking the mustang the best so far. The strats are nice but too cliche. I'm glad I did this project. The axs are really suiting me.
