Re: My '58 Reissue Has Arrived!

another new LP. hehehhe.
it has a very "clean" look with no flame top. lovely!

Re: My '58 Reissue Has Arrived!

Les Pauls are just killer. What color is that officially?

Re: My '58 Reissue Has Arrived!

I know you just broke the bank on that guitar, but if you want to spend $300, take my advise and get those new 50th Anniversary engraved Seth Lovers in A2. Somehow, Seymour took the near perfect design by Mr Lover and made it perfect....wound by MJ in the Custom Shop. After I make this post, I'm going into my room to listen to my LP Prem Plus that's loaded with those.

One of the coolest things I did at UGD was have Seymour sign his name across the top of it's case. I think Scott even had the back of his headstock signed! Seymour hesitated, saying "oh man, it's too nice!" Scott insisted. I think that's the story?!

Thanks guys! The official color is "washed cherry"

It has the fatest neck I've ever played (my preference). I wasn't sure about the burstbuckers, but I have to admit they are starting to grow on me...We'll see...

Re: My '58 Reissue Has Arrived!

a lot of folks that have not played an R8 would wonder how you could say it was the fastest neck you'd ever played! Doesn't make sense when they are so fat, but they are fat *and* fast!

Re: My '58 Reissue Has Arrived!

Nice score. That is going to look awsome with some aged hardware and the Ants. The BB's arent as bad as most think...but I think it's hit or miss. I almost have mine dialed in, but then I pick it up annother day and think....naw....needs new pups. Play it for a while and you'll know.

Sweet color...I'm not big on Cherry, but that is beautiful. I think I want a plain top as well. 59' is my next lester, if there is a next lester. Either that or that damn Two Rock Scott keeps hitting me over the head with (luv ya Scotty).

Re: My '58 Reissue Has Arrived!

Very nice Bro !!!

And I'll 2nd what GearJoneser said about the 50th Anniv. Seths. I put them in the Hamer in my avatar & they are so friggin' smooth. Plus, it just makes a special guitar that much more special.

So right you are, Scott. I bet if you take the fretboard off it says "Louisville Slugger" underneath

I know what you mean, Jeff. I spent 2 hours trying to dial in my prefered tone. I just about have it. I raised up the bridge pup a bit and that seemed to help as well. BB's are nice, but they are NOT Duncans :)

I'm still jones'n for a Gold Top and a Custom. That one that Tattooed Carrot has for sale is sweet!

Too many Lesters, not enough $$$ :smack:

Thanks!

Out of curiosity, have you had an opportunity to compare the stock Seths to the 50th Aniv.? Wondering if there's a big tonal difference?
