So for some reason, my amp (68 Bassman) decided to develop a hum. Not extremely loud, but noticeable. It's pretty annoying, and definitely not supposed to be there. At first I thought it was my cab, so I went to my friend's house where my other cab is. Tried a different speaker cable and the hum was still there.
The worst part is that when I play my guitar, it sounds like there's a light ring mod on my signal. WTF? I tap tested all the tubes and none of them appear to be microphonic. I'll be swapping out the preamp tubes, but if that does nothing (which I suspect will be the case) any ideas? My tech will be getting an email from me tonight, but I figured I'd see if you guys have any ideas.
Just for the record, it was gone through and pretty much gutted of all old parts this year. It's basically a new amp - even the OT is new. It's given me no problems since I got it back from my tech at least six months ago.
