My annual St. Pats Thin Lizzy song- Whiskey In The Jar

First year I did Emerald.
Last year I did Don't Believe A Word.
This year I wanted to do Dancing In The Moonlight, but couldn't find a decent drum track online. So I did Whiskey In The Jar. Its kind of a hybrid between the Thin Lizzy and Metallica versions.

I didn't get around to doing the vocals yet. I'll probably do em Monday, my day off. Sure I took today off, but I've got drinking to do.

All guitars on the left are my Viper with a Phat Cat in the bridge.
All guitars on the right are my Gunslinger with an EMG 81 in the bridge.
All bass is my Spector with a QP set.
And the acoustic parts are my Ovation 12.

yikes, what's with the clipping at the beginning??

Other than that, sounds AWESOME dude. Insane amounts of girth in the rhythm tone.

Everything is essentially pure raw signal. I know nothing about compression and limiting and such. So I don't bother with it much.

That being said, everything sounded non-clipping (at least to a large extent) through my listening devices and apparati. What part was super clippy? The beginning as in the intro, or the beginning of the distorted riffery? I mean...I'm not surprised that it happened, I'm just curious.

the intro. Might've been one of those leads.

The heavy rhythm guitars sounded fine.

Ah...weird. It may have been the acoustic parts...they're quad-tracked.

I may never do the vocals. I really hate singing. Oh well.
