Personally, I think it's an awesome guitar. Do you know how many years I spent as a younger person lusting after a jet-black SL1 or SL2H? I still haven't ruled one out. Or two, actually. One with EMGs, in E-flat, for Slayer; the other in standard tuning for Metallica, with I-don't-know-what for pickups.

Wow...this thread had the "best" intentions out there, but in execution it sucked. I think it's time for a do-over.

Nah, it's precisely what ol' Jackie D. (I know...lame) wanted. I was just simply very happy with my axe at the time. I just assumed that everyone on Earth became happy at the same moment that I did, and so I posted in elation at the time. I knew curious guys would bite and we'd have this friendly jesting going back and forth. Some guys were inspired enough to share their axes with us, and with no real malicious intent. Some guys were confused, but even they were still somewhat interested and even got to look at some of the best guitars around the 'net, nonetheless. All the while people were confused by my intentions, it did not stop the flow of members showing off their most prized axes. And I THANK U ALL for posting. No one should be upset - I just wanted a show of guitar forces, and I may have done it in a way providing very little of my intentions, but believe me - they were done with a completely happy spirit.

I L-O-V-E guitars and I needed the show.:friday:

Seriously though, this may be the best thread to feature guitars in this forums entire history. Unlike some baudy threads that somtimes feature posts of rather suspect hotties, no real dogs were posted here. Time and monies better spent I suspect gentlemen. :approve:

Nah. I don't care. If it's slammin' - it's slammin'. You, sir, are both obviously fortunate and have good taste. Love the transparent black finishes. I used to own a DK1 in that finish; that's what I thought your Soloist was - a DK1.

I'm glad the OP likes his guitar, but I'm not convinced I should swap.

Different beasts really. If you love the Jackson, you might very well dislike my Strat. In which case, you should keep yours, and I'll hang on to this one. Everyone wins!
