Hey Lew, Jack Sherman... told me over the next few days that he loved your tone and your broken nut Telecaster cut like a silky razor.
Yes, Jack wants one of the 32 watt Aurora amps too but he thinks maybe he'd like it in a head bottom set up... or at least with the new 2x12 combo cab. Funny, I really thought that head and bottom thing was passe`.
By the way, I could hardly hear myself either after a bit and was so tired at the end of the night that I was about to drop.
Even though we all swore to keep the volumes down and amps in the low 20-30 watt range, after the first 45 mins everyone discovered that all the players could play and they got way too excited... playing louder and louder... typical.
Plus that SVT-5 PRO 1000 watt bass amp and bottom of Randy's didn't help.
That's the first time in a long time (maybe ever) I've played with a bass player who had the gear to drive most of the guitar players off the stage with brute force, volume and power.
Next, is the new show Steve and I are trying to get together is with Albert Lee, who probably is going to be endorsing the Aurora Project.
Albert wants to do it as a guitar seminar too, with an hour or two of playing after. This will be later in the fall.
That show, the little jam sessions we want to keep doing and the guys from Vintage Guitar and Guitar Player magazine, who keep calling here and bugging me about an amp to write about... (they were both at Dallas and in our booth too) ought to keep us busy.:smack:
