I just added the PT20 and decided to take a family shot...it is coming along nicely.

Awesome. What's the one in the foreground? And how are you liking the Friedman - Pink Taco, it looks like? I played one briefly in a store and liked it.

Re: My (ever growing) amp collection

those two FSR fenders stacked... oh man! The rest is icing on the cake for me.

Re: My (ever growing) amp collection

Excellent taste! You've got a serious amount of ground covered with those. Is that "The Valve Amplifiers" 105 Bimbo? I've never heard of them before this thread.

Yeah it is the Bimbo model. It is a cool amp, has the AC/DC crunchy marshall thing down perfectly.

Love the ENGL

It is far more versatile than many people realize. The clean channel is super clean, takes pedals well and has an insane amount of headroom. I have used it for country jobs and it worked exceedingly well....in spite of some of the odd looks I was given

Re: My (ever growing) amp collection

I like that engl. An engl has been a dream of mine ever since hearing chris broderick play one in the early 2000s with jag panzer

Re: My (ever growing) amp collection

Whatcha think of the PT so far? Friedman makes great stuff.

It took me a day or two to figure out how the controls interact, it can be a little bright until you figure things out, but now I am very happy. It is great with the Creamback M loaded 1X12 or with my ENGL 4X12 (which has 2 Creamback M speakers one Creamback H and one V30). I also ran it into the Deluxe speaker (a WGS ET65) which also sounded fantastic.

This is what I have been running for the most part since I bought the amp:

The Ego Compressor doesnt really get turned on and I only really use the 808 side of the JHS and only run it for a lead boost. I set the gain almost completely off, the tone up pretty high and the level at 3/4.

The loop has the Hall of Fame and an old Maxon AD9. The Phaser is off the board right now, I gave it a go but phasing doesnt work for me anymore.

Its funny cause I am not really a metal guy but that ENGL is an amp I really love. Having that gain available should I want it is nice and the Powerball can be a very smooth sounding and versatile amp.

Re: My (ever growing) amp collection

how do you like your friedman? Had considered one but didn't see anyone on YouTube making it growl. Can it?

Sure is a classy looking setup. Do you have any clips of it? Would love to hear

Not sure what you mean by growl but if you mean that Billy Gibbons sort of thing then the answer is yes. It has 3 gain structures on the toggle, from a cleaner more traditional plexi tone to the Brown Eye sound. These newer PT 20 amps are more versatile than the first series.

I dont. I leave clips to Phil X and guys like him. Phil did a video with a 59 Les Paul a while back that features a PT20 that captures the amp well.

Re: My (ever growing) amp collection

Interesting speaker combination in the 412.
I especially like the m65 model. I had some time on a 212 with them. To my ears it really does sound like a greenback bred with a mesa v30.

What is your take on the h75?
Did you hear it alone vs the v30 prior to installing it in the 412?

I've only heard demos, but my h75 impression was more like a v30/cl80 cross than a greenback tone. (so hard to tell from videos, even at 1080HD.
