My home-made pedal board (PICS!)

Re: My home-made pedal board (PICS!)

btw i'm also in the market for a better pedal tuner and the planet waves one seemed like a good choice, plus my guitar idol uses one so how can i go wrong when its to much cheaper than the other stuff? but i was shocked to find out it has construction/reliability issues from some user reviews. how's your experience been with it?

The planet wave is fine as far as I am concerned. The only thing reliability wise, is if you run it with batteries, the battery cover trigger is super cheap, and breaks easily. The metal casing is epic though. Another thing, like most bright displays, it faire poorly in direct sunlight, if outdoor gigs is your thing.

looks great phil - very nicely done ... very cool to have those right angle 9V connectors ... i drilled holes in the top of my board for interconnects, but only had straight connectors for 9V, so it's less tidy

Yeah, they are awesome! Props to Voodoo Labs for including enough angled connectors to do most of my pedals. I think 8 had been included in the kit. the 2 strait ones I used are connected to the 2 muffs.

That looks great!!

Thanks dude. :)

Thread NECROMANCY!!!

Considering my recent absence from the boards over the past couple of weeks I felt the need to revive this thread just to say that this board was an awesome project and I'm really happy with the way it turned out!

Good times had by all!

Re: My home-made pedal board (PICS!)

very nice looking

but i have a doubt.... how do you move it around?

I was thinking handles, but I am not sure yet. Like I said before in the thread, my car takes it very very well. I can just grab it by the sides, and move it around without any problem. It's also very light weight, which is surprising to me. Anyways, I don't really need a flight case for it or anything like that, as any gigging I do would be small clubs or bars, so it works for me.
