Made my usual trip to see what kind of GAS I could stir up. They were busy and sales were good, as the walls were a little less populated this time.
Three guys from Queensryche were there buying some guitars. San Diego House of Blues is just across the street and they have a show there tonight. I’ve met guitarist Mike Stone before, so we chatted gear for a bit. He was bummed to learn I just sold the gothic V I refinished white and ran with an EMG bridge and PAF passive neck for cheap, he wanted to buy it (that would have been cool to see it on tour).
I also met a guy from the ESP forums while there, so that was cool too.
I didn’t buy anything myself, I have GAS for a Les Paul Custom, but am not ready to step up to the price tag, even though I get killer prices from Saul they are up there.
Saul said the silverburst Les Paul Customs were hot, but now have died off and have been sitting for a while, if you’re looking for one he has them and I’m sure would give you a good price.
Saul also just got a call from Gibson, seems they have a dozen or so of the GOTW 67 SG Specials (small pickguard and P90’s) left over from someone else’s unfilled order and offered them to Saul. Of course he snatched those up, so again, if you’re interested in those 67’s call him up.
