My new Swedish freejazz quartet: GuitCussion. Fresh soundclip inside.

The group has two guitarists, and two drummers: GuitCussion.

Here´s a clip we recorded this last Sunday, an improvisation in the studio called Blue Congo. The other guitarist plays a Ovation Breadwinner into a digital sound unit, I play my Gibson Les Paul-SG 1961 into my old Fender Blues Deville. What says you?

The clip above is a quite heavy, but we can actually play nice and smooth too. We do try to do so sometimes, to get a more complex sound picture.
Here´s a very smooth one, that we call "Keith". The other guitarist use an acoustic steel string sound from his digital unit and plays somewhat stiff, and I use my old Les Paul-SG 1961 and play fast and smooth - using the original PAF neck pickup (which actually has an original short alnico V magnet). What says you?

And I thought this forum was called Say-more Duncan? :)

However, here´s a last one called Limp. The reason for the name is that the drummers play in different tempos, so there is no "1" in the beat. The other guitarist sounds like a glockenspiel, and I put on some nasty seasick rock-oriented guitaring over it. If you try to nod your head with the rythm it will soon go in large circles, since there is no "1" to nod to. Funny effect.

Dude! That sounds like stuff I like to play. John Schofield'esque.

Thanks Demaniac. Yes, we are some few who like this kind of music.
