$235 isn't alot of money for something as cool as the Picture Wah,plus it has true bypass and a 9volt power adapter plug..A Mixture of great vintage tone and modern day upgrades...I'm getting one for sure....Might be today? Did you hear the clips of this thing? So much range and very clear and vocal....

John,
I have an RMC1 and I love it!

very vocal with a wide sweep ... inspiring to play

Geoffery Teese is a great guy in my book

Re: My Next Wah..Best Sounding Wah Being Made Today

How does RMC differ from the Fulltone Clyde Deluxe?

I was planning on the Fulltone sometime next week, but my opinion could be swayed...

I Like Mike Fuller's effects, but Geofrey's wahs are the best...He's done more studies and research on why the old wahs sounded great and was a repair person for Vox...His wahs have more range, clarity of tone, and are more vocal sounding...Teese's specialty is wahs...Fulltone's specialtys are his other effects..I Like the Fulltone Clyde but the Picture Wah is better in my opinion..I'm buying a Picture Wah...

Curly...I've spoken to Teese and he's a great guy...He'll spend all kinds of time with you...Mike Fuller doesn't return messages left on his recorder and doesn't return my e mails...I have no use for people like this..It's us that keeps these people in business...How quickly they forget... :newangel:

I've heard that about Fuller, and I really wasn't looking forward to buying something off him (I don't even like the attitude he uses on his site), but I couldn't remember the name of the other high end wahs....I was actually planning on starting a thread on this soon, thanks for saving me some effort. :burnout:

Geoffrey is a great guy...His wahs absolutely sound fantastic...I just ordered my Picture Wah from Analog Mike(Another great guy)....$245 later....Ouch,but I'll have the best wah tone and the best wah money can buy for my styles.... With this wah and my Fulltone Mini Deja Vibe,I'm going to be in Hendrix/Trower heaven...Not including the great amps and effects I have to go with these 2....Unless the hurricane comes and blows all my stuff away! Hope not! :smack: :burnout:

I have one of his effects and I had some questions...I've called and left a message and have sent 3 e mails...I've heard nothing,so you know what...The heck with fuller! :newangel:

I actually hate wah....

...but then, I've always been a rhythm guitarist...

Now that I'm learning leads, I've been thinking about it more. I was listening to some of the clips of the JH series stuff over on the Dunlop site and it has me interested again. My old Dunlop is on permanant loan to someone, so I figure I'll get something a little higher end. That, and I figure that if I get a better sounding wah, I might not hate it so much.

The new Cry Baby and Vox Wahs are cheap, crappy, wanna be imitations of what a great wah should sound like...Hate to say it,but it's true and it's the reason this Teese wah cost me $235...

Re: My Next Wah..Best Sounding Wah Being Made Today

actually, I've spoken to Mike Fuller, and I get along fine with him ... I'm sure he does get overwhelmed with emails sometimes, though. He deserves credit for being one of the first boutique pedal makers with a consistently high level of quality, and his pedals are not only engineered well, but built to "take a licking, and keep on ticking" :)

John, I've emailed Geoffrey Teese, and you're right, he's a real gentleman. He had some problems with a run of switches (not his fault, but the manufacturer), and replaced them at his own expense.

I'm sure that the Picture Wah is kind of an ultimate re-creation of the Vox Clyde Mc Coy, but my RMC1 is also a great wah, and they are $175, and well worth the extra money over a 535 Crybaby or even the Budda Wah (I know, 'cause I tried one). For those with humbuckers, then the Wizard Wah is voiced better.

I made a page a while back with some clips of the Teese Wah ... although my playing was crappy (I have to practice to get good with a wah!). Still, I think you can get some idea of the range and vocal quality of the RMC1:

Hello buddy....I've pretty much been wanting the Italian Vox of 67 as that's the wah tone I've grown up listening to...I wanted the ultimate wah copy of that model and I'm thinking this wah will be the one...The money is no problem as long as the tone is there...

The smaller Custom shop Deja' Vibe is awesome! I love mine, takes up less space on the pedal board too!
Hey John,
Have you tried a Budda "Bud Wah"?
I have one with a Fulltone pot and it's the best wah pedal I've heard!
Bought the pedal used for about $80. and the pot for around $25.

Re: My Next Wah..Best Sounding Wah Being Made Today

I got an RMC2 a few years back. definetely one of the best investments ever made. Teese even customized it for me so it worked better with my higher output pups (for free). Nicest guy I have ever met!

Re: My Next Wah..Best Sounding Wah Being Made Today

I need a new wah, I have a regular crybaby and its ****ty sound has started to bother me, its really unmusical and harsh, when I play I find myself trying to sweep back and forth quicker to try to cover up the harshness thats present when the wah is either up or down!

I would love a wah like that but that price is just wayyyy too steap for me now because I have a ton of other stuff I need to get and the fact that I'm getting fired from my job at publix because I have long hair and refuse to cut it doesn't help :laugh2: .... :yell: just another step in stickin it to the man!! (ques TS's "We're not gonna take it!!")

Re: My Next Wah..Best Sounding Wah Being Made Today
