Hi, all, it's been a while since I've dropped in here, but I thought some of my old pals would get a kick out of this.
Through my sister Patti, who is radio in Calgary, I 'met' ex-Eagle Don Felder online. He was there promoting his book 'Heaven and Hell' and my dear sister made sure some of my slide guitar was playing in the background. One thing led to another and last month Don invited me to join him onstage for SRV's 'Pride and Joy' at his Calgary concert, so I combined a trip to visit my mom in Vancouver, my sister in Calgary and to take Don up on his offer. It was short-lived pleasure in a beautiful concert hall to about 2500 people, but below is a link to the only footage of the event taken by Patti on her little camera. I played it safe.
Don is a very nice guy, great player and you've got to admire him for sticking his neck out like he did when he invited me up. His daughter Leah sings backup in the band and his son Cory is the percussionist. He tells me he knows Seymour well.
