My WARMOTH TELECASTER !!! Pics inside

Re: My WARMOTH TELECASTER !!! Pics inside

I'm going to have to agree that that tele is drop dead gorgeous. My vote is no gaurd, it just looks so classy without it!

Re: My WARMOTH TELECASTER !!! Pics inside

YAY!!!! Another lefty! w00t. I love the guitar minus the gold hardware and i'd be all over it. how much did it cost if you dont mind me asking.

Re: My WARMOTH TELECASTER !!! Pics inside

I approve of that with the bridge plate and the switch plate, but the pickguard is meh.

Re: My WARMOTH TELECASTER !!! Pics inside

After a second look I have to add that I also like the pickguard a lot, so much that maybe I would like it with the pickguard and the plate, just not with the plate and not the pickguard.

In short, I change my vote to 40/60 BOTH or NEITHER, just NOT only the plate.

And I like the gold hardware too, I generally dislike gold hardware but it just looks too good to be wrong on that flame!

WOW I think you have converted alot of non-tele people here, including me!

My vote is for no pickguard but yes to the control plate.

Looks amazing! :eek2:

Re: My WARMOTH TELECASTER !!! Pics inside

If you're going to have a pickguard, my preference would be for black rather than white perloid. A black pickguard wouldn't be bad.

Re: My WARMOTH TELECASTER !!! Pics inside

for the love of God please don't put that pickguard on there...i won't sugar coat it one bit, with the guard it looks like crap, without the guard it looks KILLER!!! i'd also leave the control plate off since having a rear route and a control plate is pretty silly IMO. that's such a sweet top and nice color, show it all off and go for the clean look! don't hide it under crappy plastic or random hunks of metal that aren't needed!!

very sweet!!!

Mke knows what he's talking about. A big +1 from me.

Sweet Tele.

Right now I'm killing myself out of jealous envy, I bought my first electric guitar this year, Telecasters all the way!

How much did it cost to buy all the parts from warmoth, last time i checked it was pretty expensive.

Warmoths aren't so expensive once you realize they're American made guitars.

Re: My WARMOTH TELECASTER !!! Pics inside

In a word: Wow!

Is it a hollow body/thinline?

It would look great with or without it but I vote for the pickguard.

Re: My WARMOTH TELECASTER !!! Pics inside

The guitar with all parts ( tuners, screws, plate, pickguard etc..)

Cost me about only 1300$, that is not really expensive for that kind of result.

I wil post the details of the parts tonight!!!!

Re: My WARMOTH TELECASTER !!! Pics inside

very, very nice man!!! as for the guard...i really don't like the look of single coils without a pickguard...just a personal disdain i suppose....so i'd put it on there!

btw...that would be my perfect tele configuration with the single coil neck and hum bridge...can't wait to see it all together!!!

NEW STUFF ROCKS!!! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

mike

here's one i dreamed up a few months back

I like it with the pickguard and without, but I'm leaning just a little towards no pickguard (it looks cool, but just a tiny bit odd) but with the gold control plate (all that gold looks nice against that finish). The back of that body is beauriful. I love that grain. I've gotta' get myself a Tele body that looks that good.

Re: My WARMOTH TELECASTER !!! Pics inside

Good choice with the hybrid pickguard. I agree with Mike that a control plate and the rear cover seem silly together, but, because it’s a tele, you must have a control plate and a pickguard. That’s my rule, and should be a universal rule. :D Teles without pickguards, no matter how nice the top wood, just look goofy (dare I say dumb) without pickguards.

Nice axe, though. Very classy looking, regardless of what scheme you choose. Enjoy it.

Re: My WARMOTH TELECASTER !!! Pics inside

I think it would be a little busy to have the pearloid pickguard on top of that beautiful grain.

I'm surprised at how much I like the control plate.
The gold hardware looks great!

Nobody's mentioned the neck: the grain is really nice and now I'm wishing I had ordered the neck for my Warmoth ash tele (see avatar) with those abalone dots. They would have looked good with the black pearl pickguard and knobs.

Re: My WARMOTH TELECASTER !!! Pics inside

Here's the main specs of the guitar:

Body:
1 piece mahogany Telecaster Body
Stomach cut
Contoured heel
cream binding
5A flame mapple top

Neck:

Vintage Modern
1 piece AAA birdseye maple
FatBAck contour
Schaller tuners

If you have more technical questions feel free to ask

Thanxs for all your great comments!!!!

I won't put the pickguard but i'm not decided yet with the control plate.
WIthout it's a very and clean & custom look, and i find the guitar more telecaster/killer/muscular with the plate... ho god, i didn't know i will have to consider this things in my life lol!!!!

Re: My WARMOTH TELECASTER !!! Pics inside

Ha, but still, you gotta love dilemmas like that!

In any case, don't you already own the pickguard/control plate?

If so just alternate whenever you feel like it!!

It is a great guitar, no doubt about it and it shows how much love was put in making it. Enjoy it man!
