I thought about that, but I'm not huge on that much gold. If I do the black pickguard, I might convert all the hardware to nickel and put nickel covers on the pups.

I hear ya. I just happen to like gold hardware on certain colored/stained guitars. But, just for the hell of it.........so you get an idea......

That does look pretty good, and I do have a gold 498/490 set laying around here somewhere.
