So, here it is, the new Jerry Cantrell signature Friedman JJ100:








































My initial impression: I love it. It's simple. Great clean channel. Great drive channel with two levels of gain. The felt pads on the rubber feet are a bonus!
I was under the impression that you could footswitch between the two levels of gain. I had read it from a couple of folks on forums, and the dealer I bought it from said that he thought it came with a 2-button footswitch. No such luck. I think the JBE mode would need it's own master volume if it were footswitchable, because it does decrease the volume a good bit.
Man, this thing sounds awesome. :rock:

You have no idea how jealous I am, I love that Jerry demo'd this amp himself, it sounds absolutely awesome...

Thanks guys! It definitely goes to 11, no matter what the dials say. Plenty of gain on this one.

Clippage:
Bedroom volume. Normal BE setting, no JBE. Vox Delaylab in the effects loop, used as a looper on the first clip, and as a delay in both clips.

I've never seen a box under a Krismas tree that I'd like to have more than that one!

Don't ever sell that amp. That's a lifetime keeper. Even though I love the Bogner cab, you should buy the matching Friedman cab when finances allow. Having a matching set ensures it's high value years from now. That'll be a holy grail in the amp world.

Thanks! Definitely a huge Christmas gift to myself.
I've flipped many amps. I plan on keeping this one forever. It has the perfect distortion sounds for me. I haven't even messed with the clean channel. I've been too busy loving the dirt sounds.
I'd love the to have a matching cab, but that will have to wait. I should probably not buy any guitar-related items for a good while after this splurge. I'm just not sure how I'm going to break that habit!
