So today when I was out at Marshall's here in California shopping for some ties, I decided to look at the little wall of electronics for a phone charger as well. Out of the corner of my eye on the cologne shelf, I came across this little Marshall MS-2 in red. The price I paid was about half off from retail, so I bought it more out of curiosity and for a novelty item as well. When I plugged it in and cranked it, I was quite surprised. Lots of Marshall tone from this little 1W micro amp. Controls are simple - volume, tone, and power switch with ON (clean) and OD (overdrive, obviously). The regular clean channel is more of a crunch when you crank up the volume on the unit, the OD sounds surprisngly good. It was definitely more dynamic than I personally thought it would be, responding to everything I threw at it. Of course, this is more of a novelty and practice amp. But to say the least, you'll be surprised how good it sounds despite its size. If any of you have thought about picking one of these up for practice, I say do it.
