NAD!!!! Orange Rocker 30 1x12

I can't find the camera but wooooow. Powerchords are a little boxy sounding due to it only being a 1x12 but wow this thing was insanely easy to dial in.

Before I had a Mesa Single Rectifier through a Splawn 4x12 and I don't regret selling that stack one bit. My bandmates were skeptical about me being loud enough but at practice today they were floored with how loud, and how much better it was.

When you're inspired with such a great piece of equipment (that you got a great deal on ;) ) it is such a great feeling.

Just felt the need to shout it from the rooftops!

The Rockers are nice. pricey like all oranges, but a very genuine piece of equiptment. Our lead has the head hooked up to a 4x12 crate. He never regretted trading his 5150 head for it one bit. Good score bro.

Re: NAD!!!! Orange Rocker 30 1x12

can't wait for these things to go out of style so i can score one for cheap :D

props dude. you ever wanna trade it for a FENDER BASSMAN let me know...

Re: NAD!!!! Orange Rocker 30 1x12

<<<I have the head version that's in my avatar. I'm running it through a THD 2x12, but I hope to score a nice Orange 2x12 in the near future. I'm loving it!!

I saw your signature - add Earcandy to your list of potential extension cabs. I'd go with a 1x12 closed back and use it along with the internal combo speaker. You might want to go with a 2x12 and disconnect the internal when you're using the cab.

Nice score, bro.

Congrats, I'm a rocker 30 owner also. That little bugger really rips. I love that amp, it's pretty f'in loud for such a small amp, but I've heard ala the orange forum that it can push a 4x12 really well if you need the extra volume, which I don't. How good a deal did you get if you mind asking? I got mine on the bay for just under a grand and thought that was pretty good considering mine is practically new and the new ones go for 13-1400.

Re: NAD!!!! Orange Rocker 30 1x12

I got mine brand spanking new for $967 + 80 shipping from a dealer in california. I thought the deal was better because he was blowing it out and said he'd include the footswitch. But he didn't give me the Orange footswitch he gave me a no name black one. The same one you find on ebay which I bought before to use with my Mesa and it crapped out on me after a couple of months but let's hope this one holds up better.

My original plan was to use it with a Vertical 2x12 or a 2x12 and just turn it up so it will be at ear level for me, then still use the internal speaker as well for a 3x12 technically. I'm hearing good things about 4x10's though. I'm trying to stay away from 4x12 because I know I'll only be happy with an Orange 4x12 which are expensive, and 4x12's are just so bulky.

The only reason I might sell this amp is to upgrade to a Rockerverb 50 so I can have an effects loop. Or if after the honeymoon I'm not happy with it I'll get a Marshall JCM stack or a 5150 Stack, but the sound is just sooo good I don't know how I'll go with anything different.

Really the only thing I'm not used to is this amp doesn't have the "bite" the Rectifier had. It cuts through way better but I'm sure I can EQ some more bite in there. We're practicing tomorrow as a full band so I can see what happens.

It's not even that this amp sounds different than the rectifier, it's just so much better. Like the difference between playing a MIM Telecaster vs. an American Telecaster. You just feel the extra quality.

Re: NAD!!!! Orange Rocker 30 1x12

I find setting the highs and and mids around 3 o'clock gives it a little more bite that I need when I playing thru my emg equipped ax. I definitely wish it had a built in reverb and fx loop, but oh well I'm not the biggest fx guy anyway.
