I have the Rajun Cajun in my Fender Frontman 25R and it is the best speaker on the market IMO, for any small wattage amp that has a 10" Speaker. It handles up to 75 watts and has a much heavier magnet than anything which Fender puts in their amps. It'll transform your amp into a true tone monster along with giving it a major increase in volume as well . Trust me on this one.

The RC has an incredibly flat midrange, so it's great for using pedals with. You should def check the wattage.

Thanks for the recommendations of the Rajun Cajun.

Before Christmas, I bought an Ibanez TSA5 which is an apartment friendly amp. Yes, it is a 5 watt amp but it is the lowest volume amp I have come across.

After the honeymoon period, I noticed the amp has muffles highs, harsh, mids, and floppy bass. Also, with the TS on, and due to the hash mids, the tubescreamer was unbearable.

To clear up these problems, I changes the 12ax7 and the 6V6 The highs improved somewhat and the bass started to tighten up. The mids still sounded harsh. That left one part of the sound chain, the speaker. The stock speaker is Celestion 10” Tubetone speaker.

So, I had to decide I should throw more money into this amp which sells for about $250.00 Because of the low volume of this amp – its very apartment / neighbor friendly, I decided that yes a speaker might be a good shot. I came across the above posts and checked into 10” speakers. Yes, the midrange for the Rajun Cajun seems to be flat.

Ordered one thorough from a local music store and took about 5 days to arrive. Installing it was easy, however, some of the screw holes the TSA5 were not drilled into the plywood straight.

The Rajun Cajun has improved this amp on all counts. The bass is tighter. The mids are flat and clear. The highs are sharper and more definite. It has given the amp some greatly improved the clarity. Lastly, the TS circuit sounds like the real thing now. It has a crunch and a full smooth scream

Again, thanks for the speaker recommendation.

I told you so. Glad you're enjoying it. Fender should make those stock on those FM 25 combos IMO.
