I can't say I blame you regarding the drive. I like stopping by Wildwood whenever I'm up that way. Was easier when I was going to CU in Boulder. Don't get up that way much unless I'm driving to take a look at a guitar or amp off CL. Never looked at Guitars etc. but I'll have to look them up.
That's a lovely bit of kit. Did you get the road case too?
Btw what IS it with Mesa and their no-16-ohm-taps policy?
Marketing trick to sell more cabs and/or discourage people from A/Bing with other brands? Always kinda ticked me off.... especially since unlike joe average I actually realize any 16ohm 212 or 412 can be rewired to 4ohm, but it's just a damn hassle and annoying
Please enlighten me how to rewire a 16ohm 2x12 to 4 ohms, would you?
You know, i am an idiot. it was late when i posted that, and i was thinking 2 16ohm speakers, not 16ohm total load... ugh. my badEasy. Wire the two 8-ohm speakers in parallel instead of series. In the extremely unlikely circumstance that the speakers are each 32 ohms (they do exist), you're S.O.L.

In fairness to your late night brain, a good number of 2x12” cabs are 8 ohms with two 16 ohm speakers.
