Nazgûl in a Jackson JS32-7?

Yes, sorry, should have been more clear. My JS32-7 has the Nazgul in it and it's my main 7 string. I'm modding out a JS22-7 that will get the new pickup. I want them to compliment each other in the mix.

Here's an example of one of my tunes to give you an idea of what I'm going for:

Rippin' tune, dude. Seriously, the Black Winter would be the perfect complement to your sound! It's made for this type of music.

Thanks, glad you dig it. Have a whole albums worth but want to re-track some guitars once I figure out which pup to put in my secondary guitar.

I went ahead and grabbed an Entwistle Dark Star 7 off Reverb yesterday - for $35 how can I go wrong? It's got to be an upgrade from the Jackson HO and even if it doesn't blow me away, I can put it in another guitar when I replace it or use it to experiment with magnet swapping, etc.

Right now, I'm really leaning towards the Elysian Trident II, mainly due to price point and just wanting to try something different. That being said, if I come across a BW bridge for a reasonable price, I'll grab it too. Trying to get a buddy of mine who has one in his 7 string to come by so we can record the Naz and BW together to get a good comp. If that happens, I'll post the results.

At the end of the day, I might just love my Nazgul more than any pickup I've ever owned in the 20+ years I've owned guitars - so finding a pup that adds to that feeling the Naz gives me might take some time.

I'd like to try a Nazgul in a full mahogany 6-string at Eb or D-standard,,,,,,,,,,,just need another guitar for it!

Sounds like as good a reason as anyone needs to buy another guitar and a pickup. There, your Saturday is all planned out.

Here's a Naz-6 on Reverb for only $75:

Not sure how it would react in a mahogany body, but in my basswood 7s it's incredible.

Yeah I seem to like the modern high-output but mid-level dcr (built for clarity with high-gain/low-tunings) best with woods that are known to add a slight spongy quality to the lows.
Basswood bodies almost always promote this to some degree IMO, and full hog(neck and body) "breath" even more IME.

Interesting. I don't have anything to really verify this beyond my own limited experience, but it seems to me the basswood bodies allow for a much more noticeable difference when swapping pups. Granted, I've only owned two mahogany bodies and their stock pickups were better quality than the ones in my basswood bodies, but putting the same pups in both bodies didn't yield as noticeable of a tone difference in the mahogany ones. But, my experience is hardly scientific...

I've got a Naz in a mahogany 6-string (maple neck) tuned to Eb and it sounds beastly.
