Neck humbucker

Re: Neck humbucker

I rarely use the neck p up, and I hate muddy tones. The humbucker from hell works exactly as its described on the dmz site. Ignore the fact that it has the dumbest name ever. Loved it in my lp.

Re: Neck humbucker

I would definitely go Duncan Jazz. Can't beat it for a Clean setting. It sparkles.

I love PAF style pickups, but I don't get the same crystal clear tones out of my A2P or Pearly Gates as I do the Jazz.

Re: Neck humbucker

"Bright and clear" would be:

Jazz,
59,
Screamin Demon.

Out of those three, my favorite by far is the Demon (similar to the Jazz but with more mids, and just basically more even sounding).

The Screaming Daemon is a medium output pickups (10 k) and it is for bridge. Probably with high output bridge pickups is it usable like neck pickups, but with other types of music. ;)

Re: Neck humbucker

Have you ever entertained the idea of going p90 in the neck? It might be what you want...

;)

A phat cat neck is quite a cool pickup...
