57 classic: lacking bass, lacking treble. Lots of mids. Don't like 'em much. Yanked them from 2 guitars and began looking for better pickups.
59: plenty of bass, plenty of treble, not much mids. Scooped.
Pgn: deep, warm, fat, singing, soft attack.
APH: balanced, sweet, defined, soft attack, less low end than a PGn.
Aph slash: sorry, never tried them.
both APH and PGn are pretty sweet. Play your guitar unplugged and let your ears tell you...do you want more definition and balance, or do you want some extra thickness and weight? Either are a good complement to a CC in the bridge.
