Need Boost............

I'm lookin for a solo boost in the form of a pedal. I need volume and a little push in the mids and highs with true bypass. Any suggestions?

If you find a new Marshall Bluesbreaker for low $, there's a nice clean boost feature on it, plus an OD mode and true bypass.

Howzabout a Boss GE-7 EQ pedal? It's a 7 band EQ that'll do just what you want -- boost certain frequencies, and has a stomp pedal that shuts the EQ on or off.

Perfect boost pedal - apart from the noise and hiss it can add to your signal (had a brief chat with Stratdeluxe about this last night). Tone Jam offer a mod to make the pedal true bypass and silent/hiss free. I'm ordering one...

You could also check into a BSM treble booster. Great for boosting overdriven amps, and adding just a little shine for leads.

I like my Pharaoh Amps Class A Booster.

Mine is an old one with just one knob for "Boost Volume" - he's making a new 3 knob version now. I like the pedal in front of any Clean Fender or Plexi type amp. Drives it hard and boosts levels for solo work.

Thanks for the tips guys, I think I'm gonna check out the Fulltone Fat Boost first. I've already tried the Boss EQ (didn't like it, plus it did hiss).

Right now I use the Morley Tremonti Power wah (I hate Creed but dig this wah for live playing) that has boost, But I don't always play solo's with a Wah.

I have a Tubescreamer "new" that I tried, but it cuts my tones range. Is there a mod for this pedal in the vein of using it as just a boost.

Heaps of mods for TS9's out there now. Best starting point are the Keeley and Analogueman website.

The other option for a boost is the Keeley Java boost....
