Need help on a "noisy" JB

I'm about 95% done with this Fat Strat I'm building. I just wired up a JB at the bridge and a Dimarzio VV Blues in the mid. (I'm still waiting for Dimarzio to replace my DOA VV Solo Pro for the neck). Nothing too fancy - just a 5-way switch, 500K master vol., 500k master tone w/.020uF cap, and a 500k bridge/neck blender pot. Copper shielding around the cavity and all grounds made per the schematic.

I wired up a high E and plugged into my Mesa .50 cal and all works fine, exept that when I roll up the volume with the JB selected (Pos. 1), I'm getting some 60Hz hum. Not a lot, but a little annoying. For kicks, I plugged in my Epi and Gretsch w/HB's and got absolutley no hum. In position 2 (JB + VV Blues), the hum goes down a bit, then in Pos. 3 (VV Blues) no hum whatsoever. I checked my grounds and all looks fine. The JB is wired with red+white shunted, green+bare to Ground and black is hot. My initial thought is that without the neck pup installed, the blender pot is hanging without a loop to blend. My other idea is to reverse the polarity on the JB. Any thoughts?

Thanks again,
Kev
