need recommendation for my guit fiddle

I have a Ibanez RG Iron Label 6

specs:
Maple top
Basswood body
Ebony Fingerboard
Maple neck with bubinga stripe
Drop B tuning

Rig:
Marshall JCM800 50 watt
Bugera 4x12 (soon upgrading to a 2x12 with celestion V30s)
Boss NS-2 (want to change with ISP Decimator)
MXR Carbon Copy
MXR Zakk Wylde Overdrive
MXR Phase 90

it currently has EMG 81/60 and I find them to compressed and not very tight for metal

I like to play more of the extreme stuff, Slipknot, Parkway Drive etc.

I am into any company! I just want something tighter.

I am considering:
Seymour Duncan Full Shred set
DiMarzio Crunch Lab/ Liquifire
DiMarzio D'Activators set
Lundgren M6 set
Bare Knuckle Cold Sweat (bridge)/ VH II (neck)

any other suggestions? please do tell.

Re: need recommendation for my guit fiddle

If you find that the 81 isn't tight that's the amp, not the pickup.

For less compressed but still tight, I'd say Dimarzio Evolution or D-Activator. (Even tighter, go with the D-Activator neck in the *bridge*, and then an Air Norton in the neck.)

Re: need recommendation for my guit fiddle

no, not the amp, I have had a much tighter sound with other guitars...

Have you heard the new Paul Waggoner sig pups from Mojotone? They sound amazing in his Ibbys, I'm going passive in my EC1000 and I'm snagging these if I can't pick up a Warpig soon....

Changed the battery a week ago. And I would have noticed a decrease in my tight tone I think...
Yeah, I hope I didn't come off as insulting. I just had the thought of "Where are my keys?" type incident.

Re: need recommendation for my guit fiddle

How about a set of Mick Thomson Blackouts? Ibanez guitar, active pickups, and a fixed bridge? Sounds like Mick Thomson's sound right there. Especially if you're playing Slipknot.
