Need wiring help: HSH, master push/pull for coil split.

I'm trying to wire a strat with a Seymour Duncan 59(?) neck, generic single coil mid, and Hot rails in Bridge. The neck and bridge are 4 conductor seymour duncan pickups, the middle is some overseas wonder with a white, red, and bare wire.

I wired it using these 2 diagrams

http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=HSH_1v_1t_5w_pushpull

and

Somewhere along the lines, something has gone wrong!

The neck works and sounds GREAT!

then position 4 (neck+mid) is dead. It's veeery weak with push/pull in both positions. assuming something about the phase, but I'd rather not change my neck wiring as it's wonderful.

Mid alone, works fine.

position 2, same kind of deal only this time it works when bridge is in humbucking mode, very weak in single.

bridge only: only works as a single!! The humbucking mode is way weak. This is the one throwing me off the most.

I have an allparts push/pull pot and and I replaced the 5 way with an all parts as well.

This was my first strat project so it took me a while to do this.
What on earth could be wrong? Would I be better off using two push pulls? Less room for error maybe?

Please help

Does anyone know why the bridge pickup might be acting like that at least? Why as a humbucker it's not really on so much, but single coil is just fine.

I wondering if by going between 2 schematics there is some confusion or cross wiring somewhere. That 1st schematic should work for what you want. Have you double-checked your wiring up against the schematic? Also, do you have the right color codes for the middle pup - that's a bit of the wild card in this setup?

and sure, you could use 2 push/pulls. I've gone both routes with multiple hums on a push/pull... just a matter of preference. but what you have should be able to work fine for you.

just take your time and go over it again. some of these schematics can be tedious, but well worth it once it's up and running.

phase

swap mid pu wires round

then we revisit the bridge pu

fix the middle first
see if it sorts itself
