MMM MMM MMM That's pretty. Enjoy it LOUDLY!!!

Re: Never thought this day would come.....

Brazilian rosewood makes me weak in the knees. The great master luthiers in the classical guitar world believe that there is no suitable replacement for it. Shame it was harvested so recklessly (I'm a tree nerd).

And that neck in particular looks fantastic.... no, stunning.

Ha ha, sorry guys you're quite correct. It's my son who was made on 19/8/1995, the guitar was made 19/8/2005! Lol, it was 3am .. That's my excuse anyway. It is however a NOS guitar that was in hiding so I got it essentially brand new. It does have the Brazillian neck and board and Honduran mahogany back, mixed hardware and the colour is slate. Even the case is special! I will get some daylight shots in a bit when I've calmed down!

Stop confusing your son with your PRS, lol. :laugh2::biglaugh:

Love the guitar though (I'm a huge fan of PRS myself); you must be so content with it. :friday:

Re: Never thought this day would come.....

that is one of the most beautiful guitars I have ever seen. Congrats!

Re: Never thought this day would come.....

Damn it Don, now I don't know whether to steal that or your Wayne Tele when I rob your house!! :)

Congrats mate, that's an absolute beauty!

Re: Never thought this day would come.....

I love the way those brushed pickup covers look with the gold pole pieces.

I've also always been very curious about how a RW neck feels. I'm assuming pretty amazing.

Re: Never thought this day would come.....

Every time a braz rosewood neck guitar pops up i get GAS but then i remind myself that i already own 3 braz rw necks...

Yet. They are lovely. I love this guitar.

Re: Never thought this day would come.....

Thanks guys, I am absolutely stoked to have ticked this box on my bucket list. Can't wait to gig this one because it just feels so effortless to play, and the sound seems so well balanced. I haven't had to adjust anything which is strange coz I normally mess even if only for the sake of messing.

NOS?? SWEET!! Congrats!! Cool for getting your dream guitar and cool it has the same b day as your son.. (cept for the year)

Re: Never thought this day would come.....

Truly a BEAUTIFUL GUITAR and, BTW, I would have been up playing it quietly at 3:00 am as well! ;) Congratulations!

Re: Never thought this day would come.....

Very, VERY nice. But how dö you intonate that bridge?

Re: Never thought this day would come.....

Thanks again guys. The bridge moves forwards and backwards using grub screws just like a Gibbo wrapover but I've used my Peterson strobo and it's absolutely bang on!

Re: Never thought this day would come.....

Been playing "Baldy" for a few days unplugged and it's quite incredible how balanced it is sound wise, you can hear every nuance... nothing gets lost. I fitted some strap locks today and I'm simply amazed at how comfortable and easy it is to play... an absolute joy. Then I plugged it into the Hurricane and man, this thing just sings. I just want to lower the neck pick up tomorrow and adjust the poles a little and it will be perfect, can't wait for the next gig which is on Nov 17th. Got a couple of half decent pics in natural light that show the figuring of the flames
