New Amp: Bugera 6262

Re: New Amp: Bugera 6262

MY 6260 sounds great with a 10 band eq, change some preamp tubes, speaker cable and all george l cables

Re: New Amp: Bugera 6262

I have a parametric in the loop of the 6262 and I can get every metal tone I could want. With a tube screamer in front, I get smokin blues tone on the "clean" channel. The lead channel needs absolutely no overdrive in front. It has mind blowing gain while still retaining clarity. You hear every string with chords, the leads sustain forever, pinch harmonics jump out at you and palm mutes are soooo not muddy. Very tight and focused.

DF, you were suppost to have reported back by now, stating that your cheap piece of chinese reverse technology had shorted out when you plugged into the loop, catching fire and exploding. Leveling your house and killing everybody in it, and the surrounding area.

How dare you insult our super ego driven intelligence by suggesting that you have found a way to make a sub $3000 non-hand wired new production devise sound *gasp* good.

Now quit messing around with that ticking time bomb , before someone really gets hurt......you know children read these threads.

LMFAO!!!!!! That's funny s@#t! I must confess. I did take the clips from the transformer to the power tube board and cut the wires and soldered them to the terminals. I did't want any spontaneous molecular distortion to occur and create a vortex that would devour the surrounding five blocks. But it really sounds freakin' amazing. If it doesn't last, I'm an electronics technician. I'll fix it. For now though, not a single worry. The only thing I don't like about it is the fact you can't engage the crunch portion of the clean channel with the footswitch. I'm going to change that myself very soon.:naughty:

Re: New Amp: Bugera 6262

I have yet to play these bugera's, but for the price they seem fine. People seem confused and are arguing their more expensive amps against these. I'm sure they're garbage comparatively, but for someone (as someone said earlier) just rocking out in their basement part time for a few years I don't see why not. Some people don't have the time to search out great deals on certain amps, a lot of people out there aren't even close to cool little shops or even a crappy Cuitar Center to try things out. It's really only $500, and in the used market in a few months it will be, what, like 350? These amps (once again mentioned earlier) will most likely turn into one of those things that people search out as great for their price and all that. Kind of like the explosion of buying japanese rip offs from the 80's no matter how good or crappy, people are just scooping them up.
