After much reading and several questions I decided to trade my old Ibanez Artist for a near new Fender Supersonic 60. So far I'm pretty happy with the trade. I was planning on selling the Artist but never got any serious offers until I was offered the trade for the Fender.
It seems there's quite a few lemons out there. Lots of complaints about them but I can say I honestly have none. No hum, noise, hiss or any other issues. To my ears the Bassman & Vibralux channels sound as advertised and I was quite surprised that the so called "burn" channel (still getting used to calling a lead channel burn) sounds quite good. Goes from nasty texas blues to near Boogie Mark territory.
I was really needing to sell the Artist for $$ but I think I can get a bit more out of the Fender according to the prices I'm seeing on ebay but after over an hour of playing I'm not so sure it'll be leaving anytime soon. :naughty:
Here's a pic. Not pictured is the footswitch which also turns the fx loop on and off. Wish my Boogie did that.
