Awesome!!! Congrats!! I want one so bad, but worry it wont be gainy enough. Marshalls dont have enough for me but I love the les paul thru a marshall tone.

well, Im sure my playing needs the improvement.. Splawns have more gain than marshalls right? My understanding is that they are like a hot rodded marshall. So its prob perfect.. I love the music of ALOT of Marshall users, but I dont get that gain when I play one . ??

Exactly, it's like you don't have to work so hard to get all those tones you've heard recorded for years. Where before you'd need to get the power amp tubes cooking and be hitting it in front with an OD, with the Splawn you can just dial in your gain and EQ and you're there. They have a lot of gain, but since the gain is not muddy at all, if you are used to the "wall of sound" mush when you crank the gain, it may feel like there's less available. Also, while it will do all the high gain Marshall sounds, it's not going to get intot he Recto or Diezel territory. it's not voiced like that. While I can get some heavy sounds out of the Splawn, the Mesa is still the goto amp for really thick heavy stuff.
Yes - Splawns have WAY more gain than any JCM 800 or JMP, and they're much tighter and more defined than any DSL or TSL. I don't know how the new Marshall JVM would stack up against one, but I've played in a few very heavy metal bands using a Pro Mod and never felt like I didn't have enough gain.
Dude! That's just gorgeus (wish I too had won lottery last week..)
Some day I'll have a JVM, VintageModern, H&K Duotone, Splawn, Soldano, or Bogner Shiva. When I'm rich, I meant.
