For $179 it is well worth the money but it has the same drawbacks the original has. The form factor is huge and there is no ability to set presets. But it is an amazing sounding pedal.
The same here. I bought my MOOG 108 years ago because my MXR 4-knob had a volume drop that drove me crazy and the MOOG has a variable output. Once I got the H9 it pretty much went into mothballs due to its size and inability to switch sounds on the fly. However, if someone is a bedroom or studio guitarist who needs a lot of flexibility and variety with modulation, or a set-it-and-forget-it type of user, this pedal could be a huge benefit.
Yeah, I think it could work in a stationary synth setup, in a studio. Us guitarists are spoiled with modulation pedals, though. There is just so much out there.
I've never been a fan of the brand, but it feels like Behringer has been releasing a lot of seemingly cool knock-offs recently. They did a decent sounding tone bender, a decent sounding vibe, and a decent sounding klon.
