New Blackouts. New Hiss problem.

Hey guys. So, let me introduce myself. My name's Carlos, and I'm from Puerto Rico. Been a Seymour Duncan user for years. I own an Ibanez RGA121 which I use for playing metal/deathcore, so when the time came to change the Dimarzio D-Sonic/Air Norton combo, I decided to step up and get some Blackouts. I took my guitar to a tech, and some problems occured. The neck pickup is wired perfectly, but it's hissing like a mofo. I put the pickup in the bridge position, and it was still hissing. The bridge pickup, on the other hand, is not. Put the neck on another guitar, same problem. What can I do to get a new pickup? I just sent Seymour Duncan an email, explaining my problem. These are brand new, bought from Music 123 about 2 weeks ago.

Re: New Blackouts. New Hiss problem.

Are you sure the tech changed the volume and tone pots? As well as the output jack?

I did buy a Mustaine set...and the bridge was microphonic from the factory. I sent it back for a new one...

Yes. The tech changed everything in front of me, and it seems that the neck is microphonic. I sent SD an email through their website, so I'm hoping this gets sorted out.

Re: New Blackouts. New Hiss problem.

I purchased a set back in March from musiciansfriend.com and just installed them yesterday and had the same problem with my neck pup. I kinda sounded like the ocean was behind my amp. It got better if I turned the tone all the way down and worse with gain or drive. I called SD today and I'm sending i in tomorrow.
