Craving that elusive Lamb of God tone? Well, you're in luck!

Next week at the Winter NAMM show in Anaheim, California, DiMarzio will officially launch the Mark Morton "Dominion" signature model pickup, which will be available in bridge and neck models.

"This pickup completes the circle for me ... it's the missing link in my search for THE SOUND," says Morton of his new signature pickup. "The clean tones are like bells and pianos... simply gorgeous. The rhythms are the perfect balance of cream and crush. There’s such a unique character to the saturation... it’s thick and massive, but equally accurate and concise. The gain structure is super tight without sacrificing body and depth, and the lead tones are absolutely scorching. It's got all of the sear, slice and sustain you could ever ask for. Can you tell that I'm in love?!"

Re: New DiMarzio Dominion Mark Morton Signature Pickup

OMG!!!! I hate you dimarzio!!!!

To many awesome pickups and not enough guitars.

Yeah pretty much. Between Dimarzio and SD I'd have to own nearly 30 guitars to complete my pickup curiosity! :naughty:

On the subject of these new pickups, I'm interested. I'm looking at replacing the X2N in a mahogany Washburn I have with another Dimarzio (I was thinking D-Sonic) but this new contender might be the ticket now. The Dominion just happens to be in the output range I prefer lately. The X2N is just a bit too much.

I'll be watching the reviews carefully to hear everyone's opinions of it once it's available.

Re: New DiMarzio Dominion Mark Morton Signature Pickup

Based on the EQ that's one heck of a balanced neck pickup. And the output looks just right too. Doesn't appear on paper to be much hotter than the PAF 36th Anniversary bridge.

Re: New DiMarzio Dominion Mark Morton Signature Pickup

Awesome! I can't wait for them to come out. Moderate output ceramic pickups with clarity, attack and great cleans, wow! I demand sound bytes!

Re: New DiMarzio Dominion Mark Morton Signature Pickup

Well LoG is releasing their new album on the 24th. Perhaps he used these on the album much like Gilbert used the Injectors on Fuzz Universe before they were announced.

Re: New DiMarzio Dominion Mark Morton Signature Pickup

Funny how he has been known for using Duncan pup almost exclusively and yet he gets Dimarzio to make his signature pickups. Sometimes I just don't get how the endorsement things work. I guess how gives you enough money...

However they do sound good on paper and have nice specs. Let's see how this unravels.

Man, that looks like alot of mids! Sounds like a cool pickup, may have to see if I have a spare guitar around here to try one in.

Well...his sig guitar always came with '59s, but in reality he's about as fickle with settling on pickups as the rest of us here. Always has something different on tour, whether they be different duncans, dimarzios, or even the odd EMG.

Which is exactly why I'm interested in this pickup. For Morton to finally settle on one thing...I'm intrigued.

I think I'll check out that bridge, sounds like it could be a winner. Dimarzio knows how to make a medium-hot bridge humbucker.

For those that need more guitars, it's easy enough to grab a $100 Squier and slap in a humbucker.

Re: New DiMarzio Dominion Mark Morton Signature Pickup

I thought this day might finally come. A signature pickup that I actually care about! Mark Morton is practically the reason I started playing guitar again after a long hiatus. The specs are intriguing. I'm glad they didn't feel compelled to put some stupid graphic or logo on it.

I just want to know how long it'll last. He switched from the Mark series to the Royal Atlantic amps not too long ago. The only thing he's completely settled on so far is the Jackson endorsement.

Re: New DiMarzio Dominion Mark Morton Signature Pickup

I like LoG's music but IMO their guitar tones have nothing to write home about. There's something fuzzy about their tones I don't like. IMO the big part of their tones is the Mesa Boogie Mark series with graphic EQ they haul over everywhere they go.
But this pickup set definitely makes me interested. We need more mids, baby! :D

Burn the Priest>>>???!!!

Eh, sorry, 2002 flashbacks.

Does look like Breeds with ceramics.

Nice try my man, but the herd is already at 10 and I'd like to get another 4x12 first hahaha! :nana:

But after that who knows . . . . :firedevil
